Ride the breathtakingly scenic West Highland Line over the Glenfinnan Viaduct, and enjoy a spectacular journey on the North Highland line between Inverness and Kyle of Lochalsh. Relax as you view the brooding lochs, lush glens and rugged mountains from your comfortable seat on board the trains. Complete rewarding hikes to explore each corner of the highlands. Use your free time to indulge in Scotland’s unique culture and fascinating history by visiting castles, ancient battlefields, Loch Ness, distilleries, and centuries-old Highland Estates. This is our standard 7-night itinerary. If time allows, we highly recommend adding extra nights, particularly in Fort William or on Skye. Doing so will give you more time to explore, allow for a more relaxed pace of travel, and create additional opportunities for sightseeing along the way.
